What lens do you have? And what camera body do you...
I have the 50mm 1.2 with the 5d mark ii.
My lens is good at not breaking when I accidentally hit it constantly since I’m the clumsiest person on earth. (thank god for insurance.)
It auto focuses pretty darn decent. There is a bit of a problem in the dark and with really bright back lighting from the sun but then I just flip it into manual NBD.

Where did you get that skeleton your shoot with?...

Sarah sent it to me!
I also have turtle bones I found on the side of the road.
You can maybe try ebay or something?

do you always crop your photos to a certain...
Not really. I don’t really crop if I don’t expand. And if I expand I crop to whatever works best for the photo :)

oldispresent asked: I think I have told you this a lot of times in Facebook but anyways, I absolutely love your work. Everything is perfect. The focusing, the light, the places, the expressions in the model's face, the effects, everything. You're such a great photographer. Greetings from Argentina xx
f0reverinflight asked: Where do you find all of these fantastic abandoned places? And have you ever been caught in a place you weren't meant to be in? There are places I'd love to take pictures at but I'm afraid of getting in trouble for it. :/
elinorpearson asked: where do you get your inspiration? are there any photographers in particular that you admire? ps im obsessed with your stuff its incredible
twelveacres asked: Hey Sarah, I don't know if you've been featured in an art gallery before, but if you have, what are the steps I should take to get there? I have no idea where to start! Thanks so much. :)
waveitaway asked: I really love the style of your work. Everything you do is amazing. Keep up the great work :)
Please, I want so badly for the good things to happen.

Sarah, do you think it's a wise choice to skip out...
It all depends on you sweetpea. Personally, it wasn’t my choice to go to school. I never liked it and couldn’t stay motivated to do the work. Do what feels right to you.
If I was to go back to school I wouldn’t get an art degree. I would get a business degree. I feel like I would benefit more from that than anything else!

I hate when I have a picture of how I want a photo...
CONSTANTLY. I find that happens most of all when I don’t completely think out a concept. If I sketch out a concept and all the little details it happens less. I think preparation is the key :)

i have all these photo ideas in my head, but i'm...
I have the same problem. I work so much I have a hard time getting out of my backyard. You kind of just have to make time. I schedule travel days during the weekends to to meet new people and go on adventures! Then the next day, I rest :)

when you say just after sunset you mean that hour...
Pretty much yes :) I like to wait for sunset because I think the golden hour is beautiful too. So I take some shots then. Then the moment the sun hides behind the horizon is my favorite. Everything is perfect and beautiful and diffused.

Hello!,
I read your question about the WHCC...
http://www.whcc.com/resources/faq/
Q. Do you put borders on prints?
A. No, all of our prints are borderless, except proofing where borders are optional. If you would like a border, please put the border on yourself. Borders are available for proofs when ordered through ROES.
I never crop anything but I resize the prints. If I want a white border I add it in Photoshop otherwise the prints come...

how much would you charge to make the cover and...
Depends really. It’s like licensing a photo out for anything.
First, I would find out a bit more about the band or record company producing it. I would find out how many albums are anticipated being made, whether or not they want exclusive rights to the photo, if they want to use the photo for advertising, if they wanted to use the photo for merchandising, and then I’d come up with a...

I wanna do a picture with a burning crown of...
That’s exactly what I would do. I would first take a photo of the crown on your head. Then probably flip the camera in manual and take another photo holding the crown on fire roughly where the crown was before. Then I would composite them together in Photoshop! I’d probably do this outside however. I have a sandpit I often do my fire work in.

you said that you keep a journal full of inspiring...
Inspiration is everywhere! You just have to open yourself up to it! I used to read a lot of poetry. When I’m feeling down or depressed I would always recite my favorite poems in my head. Then I started thinking of the imagery and how it would relate to photography. :)
Then I just browse tumblr or Flickr. That always helps :) or taking a long walk.

Do you submit your work to Getty images? If so can...
STAY AWAY FROM GETTY. They do not give the photographers the fair share of the profit (like 30/70) If you are going the stock agency route I would go with someone who is going to give you your fair share (50/50)
As for other stock agencies, generally they do not want you to upload the same or similar images to others agencies but you still own all the rights to your photos.
