Just a few weeks ago, Hindus around the world celebrated the festival of colors, known as Holi. Participants of all ages throw brilliantly colored powders to welcome the coming of springtime.

The Atlantic rounded up a gorgeous set of photos of Holi festivals from across the country of India.

An Ironman inspired photo series where I experimented in combining glamour portraiture with Sci-Fi conceptualism in order to create a Heads-Up-Display for each color of the rainbow. The virtual interfaces were not constructed randomly. Each suit display was designed uniquely to fit that suit’s specific function.

Monarch (Red) - Interstellar Flight

Paladin (Orange) - Heavy Weapons

Vulcan (Yellow) - HazMat

Jackal (Green) - Ground Combat

Mark 9 (Blue) - Air Combat

Genie (Violet) - Stealth

A bus stop with swings

Except the truth is even better. This is in montreal and every summer they put up a series of musical swings. If you look in the background you can see more people swinging away.

Each swing is a set of four and has its own unique sound, but if you are in perfect harmony with the other 3 seats then an actual song is played. The theory is that you communicate and interact with people more if it’s for a specific goal and if you’re having fun

And it’s that reaching, that gesture, that reflex we have to pull what’s warm - whether it’s something or someone - toward us, that feeling we get when we do that, that feeling of being sad in the world and ready for sleep, that’s happiness.”
